There may be occasions where you want to alert a user when a specific area of an employee’s record has been changed. For example, alerting someone working in your payroll department that an employee’s salary has been updated or that their personal address has been changed. SMB allows you to setup users to be notified of these changes via the Notifiers module.
Once setup as a notifier, the user will receive an email notification when the selected part of the employee record (personal details, pay/benefits, job record) has been changed.
Note: We do not send any personally identifiable information via email. The notifier will receive a notification that the record has been updated, but will still need to access SMB to be able to view the changes.
