What are custom data objects?

Custom data objects allow you to extend the functionality of SMB by designing and managing your own format of employee data. Custom objects can be added throughout the employee record and allow you to setup your own structure of objects and define whether employees can see, add or request changes to the data within.

For example, you may want to extend the training module by adding the ability to store details of employee certificates, or enhance the Pay/Benefits module by adding a new section to store details of childcare vouchers. With custom data objects, you can define limitless additional data objects for SMB, each with their own rules and approval processes.
