What are asset custom fields?

Asset Custom Fields allow you to extend the asset management tool and create additional fields for different types of asset. For example, if you have “Mobile Phone” as an asset type, then with custom fields you can store information such as the phone number, the IMEI number or other important information. Each asset type can have its own custom fields, allowing greater flexibility when storing different types of asset.
