Do employees need approval to delete absences from their calendars?

By default, SMB will only ask an employee to raise an Absence Cancellation request if they attempt to remove an absence from their calendar that occurs in the past. Absences in the future can be removed directly without approval.

However, if you require the employee to raise a request to remove any absence from their calendar regardless of whether if is in the past or the future, go to the Administration section from the main menu and select "Absence Cancellation Approval Settings" from the "Holiday and Absence" panel. On this page you can then select whether approval is needed at all times or only when removing historic absences.
