By default, employees are not created with flexible working enabled, and thus cannot create and submit timesheets. To enable timesheets for an employee, navigate to their record from the “Employees” option on the main menu, then open the large Employee menu and select the “Working Hours” option.
When the page loads, select the “Timesheets” option to view the Timesheet management page. At the top of the page, a panel shows whether the employee has Flexible Working enabled and beneath that is a button marked “Change Flexible Working Status”. Click this button and, on the page that is shown, select whether you wish to enable Flexible Working for this employee, allowing them to record their own timesheets.
Beneath this option, you can select whether timesheets require approval or not (if they do require approval, don't forget to ensure that you have setup at least one admin approver for timesheets) and also select how to report on days where an employee has not submitted a timesheet. If timesheets are to be used to track occasional variance to the scheduled working time - for example for recording overtime - then set this to reporting standard working hours on days without a timesheet. If you are using the system to record timesheets every day and want to track days without timesheets as non-working days, then select the "Report zero hours" option.
Once set, the employee will be able to create timesheet entries from their dashboard to record changes to their scheduled working times.
