What are absence types?

Absence types allow you to record different types of absence in the system – as many different types as you would like. This is useful when it comes to recording types of absence outside of regular holidays that may impact on payroll, such as statutory absences or unpaid absences.

In addition, you can also add absence types that have their own annual allocation. For example, you may give employees a certain number of hours or days per year for family-related absences, medical appointments and so on. These different absence types can be tracked with their own annual allocation.
