How to I open a disciplinary case?

The SMB system contains a simple note and document storage area for managing disciplinary and grievance cases. To open a new case, select the “Employees” link from the main menu, then navigate to the employee whom you wish to manage. Select the “View” button alongside the relevant employee and, when you are shown the View Employee page, open the Employee Menu by clicking on the arrow on the right-hand side of the menu and select the “Disciplinary” option.

Next, click on the “Add New Disciplinary/Grievance Record” link at the top of the page and, on the form that is shown, enter a title for the case, select whether this is a grievance or disciplinary case and enter a description of the case.

Note: The notes/description recorded on this page will be visible to the end employee, so this is a good place to explain why the case has been opened and the desired outcome of the case.

Finally, click “Add” to create the case.
