SMB News – July 2024

We always value your feedback as we strive to make SMB the ultimate HR platform for small to medium-sized businesses. Here’s a brief overview of this week’s updates:

Appraisal Template Forms
We’ve increased the number of stages available in appraisal template forms from 4 to 10, as well as allowing forms to be routed back to users making for a more dynamic experience. We’ve also added the ability to provide friendly names for each stage of a form as well as being able to reassign stages to different users as the form progresses.

FTE Salaries and Estimated Full Time Salaries
As an extension to existing salary records, SMB can now calculate FTE values for employee salaries based on their working hours, adding a valuable metric to employee records and custom reports.

Non-working time in Job History records
We’ve added the option of setting job role records as “non-working time”, allowing clients to capture gaps in employment, ensuring that employee length of service is calculated correctly, even when employees leave and return at a later date.

Greater flexibility in managing Job History, Salary and Working Hour records
We’ve enhanced the management of these records, allowing for records to be dropped into the histories of employees, automatically adjusting any existing records to ensure seamless historic records without having to remove records in order to make way for missed or new information.

Timesheet Custom Fields
We’ve enhanced timesheet records, allowing for custom fields to be added to the Add and Edit Timesheet pages.

Easier Bank Holiday Management
We’ve made a change to how Public Holiday schedules are managed, allowing you to select a default territory for each schedule. With this in place, SMB will automatically add the bank holidays for all defined calendars whenever the holiday year is setup.

We hope you love these new features and can’t wait to hear more of your amazing ideas and feedback!
