By default, SMB will calculate the variance between an employee’s scheduled working time, as set in their standard working hours, and the amount of time recorded on timesheets submitted to the system. There may be times, however, where an administrator wishes to adjust the variance balance on an employee’s record – for example, when carrying a balance forward from one month to the next. This is performed with timesheet adjustment records.
There are two types of adjustment record that can be recorded against an employee: manual records, which are those which have been added manually to an employee, and automatic records, which are those created by the timesheet carry over rules and are applied at the start of each calendar month.
